Al-Ahli and Aryan face-off in today’s “Test and Tune”

The countdown has begun as drivers line-up in today’s “test and tune” in
preparation for the Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship which will be set
the strip on fire next week at the BIC.
With everything set, today looks like it will be another tough bout as the final
“test and tune” round takes place before the flag hails the start of the
Championship on the 24th and 25th, this month.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the events of the day as drag-stars Bader Al-Ahli
and Ali Aryan look set to participate in the “Pro Mod” category this season
which should make for an intense and fierce battle on the drag strip at the BIC.
The event will also see Emirati Jumma Al-Seem compete in the same category
having won the “Outlaw” category last season.
His team “Al-Seem Performance Group” will also be participating in more than one
category with seven cars representing the team. Also, preparations are being
made by Bahraini Khalil Toorani who will be testing his car and running in the
“Pro Mod” category. Fans will also get the opportunity to watch “Al-Anabi” team
from Qatar participate during the season’s events.
As hundreds of fans and participants grace the drag strip in true drag style,
they will have to step up their game in order to stand any chance against
defending champion Bader Al-Ahli in his Mustang Super Charger, the only of its
kind in the Gulf, in the “Pro Mod” category.
Ali Aryan will also be one of those to beat as he looks set to test Bader
Al-Ahli’s Mustang “Willys” and last year’s winning car.
The “test and tune” will kick-off at 1900 – 2300 and the event will be open to
all press and media members as well as members of the BIC Media Club for
coverage. Tickets to the event will be at a fee of only 2BD, whilst drivers and
bikers can register to participate at the Bahrain Drag Racing Club for a fee of
only 5BD.
This will be the final “test and tune” round, before the first round, which
shall witness fierce competition amidst many participating drivers and bikers
from Bahrain and across the GCC.
