Bahrain Sports Channel to air 2006 V8 season

As part of a partnership between the BIC and the Bahrain Radio and Television
Corporation, the Bahrain Sports Channel will be airing six episodes of the 2006
Australian V8 Supercars Championship Series, including the “Desert 400” round
which was held at the BIC for the first time that year.
The episodes will be aired on Thursday and Friday on the satellite channel,
Bahrain Sports, from 2200 – 0000 over the next week. Highlights of the first
ever “Desert 400” round, which was hosted at the BIC in 2006, will also be
aired.
The airing comes in light of a partnership which aims to heighten motor sport
culture and popularity in Bahrain and across the region. As part of the
agreement, the BIC has received rights to air a variety of motor sport shows and
races, particularly events held at the circuit, over the agreed two hour slots,
three days-a-week.
