    The first three day test at the Bahrain International Circuit came to an end today with Scuderia Ferrari putting in another flawless performance. Reigning world champion Kimi Räikkönen lapped the 5.41km BIC in 1m 30.455s in the course of a 74-lap programme, with his Brazilian team mate Felipe Massa lapping 0.8s slower on his first day in Bahrain.

    Reigning Formula One world champion Kimi Räikkönen today set a new benchmark for this year’s testing at the Bahrain International Circuit with 1m 30.595s lap. Once again the Finn and his Ferrari team held station at the top of the timesheets with their all-new F2008 cars, test driver Luca Badoer logging a time of 1m 32.230s for the 5.41km Grand Prix circuit.

    Ferrari’s reigning world champion Kimi Räikkönen set a scorching pace in the desert today as Formula One returned to the Bahrain International Circuit for three days of testing. Maintaining Ferrari’s strong pre-season form, Räikkönen lapped the 5.41km circuit in a time of 1m 32.079s which comfortably eclipsed the pole position time for last year’s Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix set by his Brazilian team-mate Felipe Massa.

  • Formula One Testing in Bahrain

    The first of two three-day blocks of Formula One testing will begin tomorrow (February 4) at the Bahrain International Circuit, with Scuderia Ferrari and Panasonic Toyota Racing preparing their all-new challengers for the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship. Pre-season tests have become a feature of the build-up towards the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for the last two years, with teams, tyre manufacturers and fuel and lubricant suppliers drawing a wealth of data from their time in Bahrain.
