  • Excellence Rewarded at FIA Gala

    The 2007 FIA Institute Centre of Excellence trophy was presented to the Bahrain International Circuit in a pre-awards ceremony at the FIA Gala in the Monaco Sporting Club. The BIC is the first Grand Prix circuit to receive the prestigious award, which aims to encourage and incentivise excellence in all aspects of motor sport safety.

    The Bahrain International Circuit was awarded the highest accolade by the V8 Supercars Championship during Monday night’s end of season V8 Supercars Championship Awards ceremony in Melbourne, Australia. During the ceremony BIC’s running of the Desert 400 race in November was recognised as the Best Event of the Year for the 2007 Championship.
