Elgammal fastest in Lumina CSV practice

The fourth of the six rounds of the Lumina championship kicked off yesterday
(Thursday) with a practice session at the Dubai Autodrome. This lets the drivers
get a chance to feel the track that they will be racing on today and tomorrow.
Most of the drivers are well used to driving at the Autodrome but it always
helps to get a better grasp on the track before the main race.

Australian driver Tarek Elgammal knows this track like the back of his hand as
he used to work here, where as the Bahraini driver Fahad Al Musalam is quite new
to racing here. The day was turning to dusk when the Lumina CSV practice session
classification kicked off. All the drivers were in good spirits and eager to get
on the track to see how their cars would perform.

A.Aziz Al Thawadi the General Manager of the BMF and first time director of the
Lumina CSV championship briefed the drivers just before the practice session on
the usual rules, regulations and of course the weather.

Thankfully the weather was warm without rain or wind. We spoke to a few of the
drivers about what they think about the championship so far and they are all
positive about how it is going.

Defending champion Tarek Elgammal spoke of how he knows he will loose his
champion title but thinks Fahad Al Musalam deserves to win. Each of the drivers
said that they never get nervous when it is race time as nerves can hold you
back and no race car driver can afford to be held back while on the track.

Everyone in the Autodrome is looking forward to tomorrow's race the atmosphere
and friendly rivalry is ripe on everyone’s tongues.
