Thursday 14 February, BIC – Sakhir:
Bahrain International Circuit, home of motor sports in the Middle East, will be
giving all drag fans a feast for their eyes today as another test and tune round
takes off.
In preparation for the second round of the National Drag Racing Championship
which will be held on 13 – 14 March, drag racers will turn the strip into their
playground once again as they get ready for action.
Petrol-heads wishing to step up to the challenge can do so by registering today
from 5pm – 8pm, for a fee by the BDRC for only five dinars. The 1.2 kilometer
strip will be ready during the test and tune session to all drivers and bikers
who’ve got the urge.
Spectators can also get in on the action for only two dinars.
Many cars and motor bikes are expected to get involved today, particularly since
the next test and tune round will take place during the National Racing Festival
from 22 – 23 February. This round will be an event sidelining the fifth round of
the Lumina CSV ME Championship as well as the 2000CC Batelco Challenge from the
Circuit Racing Club and for the first time, it will take place in the daytime.
