Bahrain International Circuit, home of motor sports in the Middle East, will
also be the home of excitement and anticipation as the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand
Prix kick-off press conference takes place tomorrow (Wednesday, 13 February,
2008) at 11am.
This year the circuit looks set to celebrate its fifth anniversary of hosting
this global event since the circuit was first inaugurated by His Majesty King
Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on 17 March 2004. Sneak peaks and teasers will be given
detailing some of the exciting new preparations which have been put in place to
welcome the fifth Formula One race to the island on 4- 6 April 2008.
The Ithmaar Group Yalla Bahrain festivities are already underway and have seen
autograph signings by legendary Felipe Massa and a Five-a-side football
tournament alongside the F1 testing. The Formula One road show is also ready and
will also be hitting the road next week to get the hype building up across the
Middle East.
BIC extends its invitation to all members of the press and media from across the
Kingdom to attend this event which will have guest speakers Bjorn Naf, CEO of
Gulf Air, Martin Whitaker, CEO at BIC and the circuit’s COO Shaikh Salman bin
Isa Al Khalifa present.
